The Ecoladang Micro Farm took a field trip to get some photos of Mushrooms and a typical Mushroom farm and then met up with Mr Chia the owner. What a great experience.
We got some close ups of the shiitake mushrooms and some great photos of the farm. Overall a great experience and we'll worth the trip. We took the SUKE highway from Cheras through the mountains and past the Empangan reservoir. A very nice road to take.
The farm is set on 4 Hectares and consist of some older units and then some more modern units.
Mr Chai has been here for 4 years and speaks Mandarin but with a but of help from Google Translate and our local Mandarin speaker all was well.

Here are some details of the farm.

All the substrate is imported from China and does very well in Malaysia especially the Shiitake mushrooms.

The output of the farm is a round a ton of Mushrooms a day. They all dry mushrooms and have a little shop. This afte8we are attending a talk to the local Chinese school kids about Mushroom farming.

Here are some videos we took of this interesting farm. Our macro lens setup was a Canon R5 with a 100mm to 400mm macro lens with two converters and some specialist lights.
Ecoladang Micro Farms will send Mr Chia a proposal an how we can collaborate.
